One of the most stunning moments of the Law & Order season premiere mega-crossover between Law & Order, SVU, and Organized Crime was saved for the third hour, which was mainly centred on Jack and the prosecution team trying to find a method to bring Sirenko and the person he answers to down.
From this point on, there will be significant spoilers, so beware. The prosecution's case was only left with Nicole's testimony when the video from Ava's phone was excluded from the hearing. However, before they could continue, armed men ambushed Amanda Rollins at her location, seriously injuring her in the ensuing gunfight.
Nicole was being moved to the precinct by Rollins and another officer so they could speak with her about the prospect of testifying to support the case when multiple shooters opened fire on them. As they hid behind cars, they opened fire in retaliation, with Rollins killing one of their assailants.
Rollins then attempted to defend Nicole by firing a gun as she ran behind another car that was driving closer to the house. Rollins was shot in this location, and one of the assailants tried to shoot her again, but the other officer killed him with a headshot.
Rollins was bleeding profusely from a gunshot wound to the stomach when he went to call for an ambulance and attempted to apply pressure to the wound. After being brought to the hospital, Carisi showed up at the scene inconsolable over Rollins and went to check on the patient.
Her condition was unknown at this time, and Olivia Benson was also at the scene trying to figure out how the gunmen knew where they were.
It turns out Nicole had a hidden phone and she received a snapchat message that she answered,
And she apologized to Benson for screwing things up and getting Rollins shot.
Now we all wait and see what happens to Rollins, and our fingers are crossed that she's okay.
